Blanca

Director of Therapy Support

I’m Blanca, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with 9 years of experience providing care across the lifespan. I’ve worked in various settings, including schools, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, and mobile outpatient therapy. My experience includes working with both children and adults, each with unique goals and needs.

Pediatric Experience

I enjoy working with children of all age ranges. I’ve supported kids with developmental delays, autism, sensory processing challenges, and fine motor difficulties.

My sessions often include play-based activities that support attention, coordination, handwriting, and independence in self-care routines like dressing and feeding. I take a collaborative approach with families and love creating fun, purposeful treatment experiences that support everyday success.

Adult Experience

I also work with adults managing a variety of conditions, including neurological disorders, orthopedic injuries, and age-related challenges. My focus is on improving independence in daily tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility. I adapt activities and environments to meet individual needs and help clients feel safe, capable, and more confident in their routines at home.

Passion for Creative Care

One of my favorite parts of being a COTA is using creativity to deliver high-quality care that’s both engaging and challenging to my clients. I enjoy thinking outside the box to help clients reach their goals in meaningful and motivating ways.
